Are You Ready To Take Your Internet Marketing Business To A Higher …

admin on November 29, 2008 – 10:38 am - Are You Ready To Take Your Internet Marketing Business To A Higher Level?
So what’s the next step for your internet marketing business? Why, take it to a higher level, of course. Where else should it go? A good idea has to expand. But which step to take first? Let’s take a look at what you should do to take your internet marketing business and turn it into the next big thing.
Can you strat plan?
A great internet marketing business deserves more than just a gung-ho plan to take it to a higher level. Ideally, you should have a business plan prepared prior to building a website and running your business. However, if this isn’t the case, don’t worry. If you want to take the next big step, it’s not too late to come up with a business strategy that will match your goals and the nature of your internet marketing business.
Take stock of where you are at the moment. How long has your internet marketing business been running? How much did you have to spend to start it and sustain it on a month-to-month basis? How long before you received the returns on your investment? Are you earning? Is the income excellent or satisfactory or is it barely enough to cover the expenses necessary for the maintenance of the business?
What strategies have you implemented in the past? How well did they work? Which ones made a mark on your target market and which ones failed? Did you have to spend a lot on promotions and marketing? What type of demands did these efforts require from you?
Do you have a goal?
A goal may seem like a necessary but annoying component of your business but if you want to take it to a higher level, you need to know where you’re going. More importantly, you need to know if you’re already there. A goal will tell you if you’ve reached your destination or if you’re still flailing in the waters.
Do a simple graph. Put a dot on one end of a piece of paper and mark that as your starting point - where you are at the moment. On the other end of the paper parallel to that dot, place another dot and mark that as your goal - where you want to go. Now draw a line to connect the two dots. Along that line, begin writing the steps you need to take in order to reach the other dot. What strategies do you need to work on? What have you done so far? How will you reach this goal from where you are right now?
Intensify your campaign.
So you’ve worked on your promotions and ads before. Take a look at what you’ve done and learn your lessons from the past. If you’ve merely satisfied yourself with textual ads and banner advertising in the past, perhaps it’s time you explored other options, such as e-newsletter and e-mail campaigns. Maybe it’s the right time to start writing a blog in relation to your business or to promote your expertise.
What about your search engine rankings? How have you been doing? Have you made some extra efforts into ensuring your SEO and link building campaigns work to your advantage? Have you tapped other industry websites for link building? Have you created a targeted marketing campaign that brought in the right traffic? Have you built your lists?
Is it time to become an expert?
Whether you like it or not, becoming involved in the internet marketing business means building your own reputation. Take a look around you. You’ll see that a huge part of this industry is built on someone’s reputation. There are more names and personalities in this business than company names and brands. And even if there was a well-known brand, it was still inevitably linked to someone’s name.
Consider this route carefully. Do you have the experience to become the next internet marketing guru? Have you gained enough experience to teach internet marketing newbies? Maybe it’s time to start taking your business to a higher level by sharing your own expertise and experience. By becoming a recognizable personality online, your business gains more exposure.
Follow a star’s example.
Is there a particular business owner or personality in the internet marketing industry that you admire or whose track record you want to emulate? Research about this person. How did this person begin his business? How did he get to where he is? What are his significant contributions to the industry? Who is he affiliated with? What has he done that helped build his business? If you want to take your internet marketing business to a higher level, learn from the examples already set by the most successful people in the industry.

3 Common Misconceptions About Internet Marketing Revealed
Written by
admin on November 29, 2008 – 10:38 am - 3 Common Misconceptions About Internet Marketing Revealed
Back in the 1980’s in the health industry, the belief was that eating a high carbohydrates, low protein, and low fat diet was the healthiest way to go. Most carbohydrates were considered good. And ALL fats are bad.
Unfortunately when the carbohydrate rage was going on, we see an increase in obese people and diabetes. Not too healthy is it? Now, a balanced diet and eating healthy fish fats is accepted as the healthiest way to go. The carbohydrate myth is now debunked. (That is the fact as I see it, anyway)
The same thing goes on with internet marketing and today I’m going to help you debunk 3 common myths about internet marketing:
Myth #1
Internet Marketing takes no effort to build!
This is probably the most popular myth about internet marketing. Although internet marketing is in fact the lazy person’s way to wealth (legally and morally), the truth is that you still have to put out work in the front end before any real money is made in the backend.
Once you put enough work in the front end to develop a solid internet marketing foundation, you can then relax on the beach while the residual comes pouring in - all without lifting a finger!
Myth #2
All you need is a great website with all the best graphics and animations!
You can’t just put up a website, tell your brother and sister about it, sit at home and watch TV all day and expect to have the cash magically appear in your bank account. You will still have to distribute, develop and market your product or service to people before anything significant will happen.
Many people spend tens of thousands of dollars having their websites developed without even thinking about the market they are selling their product and service to. They have all the flashy and colorful images and cute animations to impress visitors. Unfortunately, without a market, the only person that will look at their website and be impressed with it is themselves.
It’s like setting up your own professional practice or retail store and only telling your friends and family. No advertising and no marketing. Unless you have a HUGE family and have thousands of friends to support you, you’ll be out of business in within months!
Myth #3
The BIG money in Internet Marketing is all hype and bullshi*!
People who believe in this garbage probably believe that the only way to make money is to go to school and earn wages at their cubicle. Although these people are half right, they get what they believe, all of the hype and bullshi*, and none of the BIG money.
When an internet marketing ‘guru’ promises that his program will make you a millionaire in a month, he is a fraud and that’s why internet marketing is sometimes viewed by some people as scams.
But don’t take financial lessons from wage earners, it’s like taking hockey lessons from Michael Jordan; you are learning from people who don’t know what they’re doing on those subjects. In our case, broke wage earners giving us their opinions about internet marketing!
If I told you how much a successful internet marketer makes, you wouldn’t believe me. Do your investigation and interview some top internet marketers. Find out his lifestyle and if it’s a lot better than yours, you’d better listen up
In conclusion, remember that an internet marketing business (like any business) requires effort and a marketing strategy in order for you to make the big bucks. Throw out all the myths that are now debunked and embrace the realities of internet marketing.

5 Aspects Of Internet Marketing Strategy To Understand
Written by
admin on November 29, 2008 – 6:32 am - 5 Aspects Of Internet Marketing Strategy To Understand
These are the five aspects of internet marketing that you should understand. If you are new to internet marketing, then these 5 aspects are essential for you to grasp.
1) Internet marketing is a business. Just like any other business. The only difference is that a lot of it is done online.
2) If you treat internet marketing as a business, you will make money. In fact if you don’t treat internet marketing as a business, you won’t make long term income.
The only way to guarantee the long term success of your internet marketing career is to treat it as a business.
Meaning you need to have separate checking accounts. You need to file the paperwork, and do your taxes etc.
3) Internet marketing is an industry. This isn’t a "get rich quick" scheme. Internet marketing is a multi-billion dollar a year industry.
In fact, the basics of internet marketing is very sound. It’s simply moving people online. Giving people solutions to their problems, and getting paid along the way.
Realize this, because if you treat it as a "scheme"… you will not get very far. If you tell yourself "this doesn’t work", you have to stop. Because it’s not that internet marketing doesn’t work, because it does.
You are just not doing something right.
4) A lot of people are making a lot of money. There are a lot of people making 100% of their living online.
Within the next 10 years, making money online will be more common place then it is today. Realize that you can make as much money as you do now completely online.
This isn’t just a "company" you are signing up for… or just a "technique" you are learning. Internet marketing is doing business online.
5) Others have done it and so can you. People of all background are making money online, and there’s no reason why you can’t too.
You just have to become a student. Have persistent, and take the steps. Imagine you want to become a nurse, and quit your second year of school.
Imagine you want to bake a cake, but don’t take that last step of putting it in the oven. Internet marketing is just like anything else. You have to take the necessary steps.

Starting A Profitable Internet Marketing Business In 4 Easy Steps
Written by
admin on November 29, 2008 – 6:32 am - Starting A Profitable Internet Marketing Business In 4 Easy Steps
In this post I want to show you how you can easily create your own money making internet marketing business in 4 easy steps - without breaking the bank.
I’m going to assume that you don’t have much spare cash to invest in your business (or that you you want to create your business with as little up-front investment as possible).
I admit it, I don’t like spending money where there are free or low cost alternatives, so if you’re like me and don’t want to bankrupt yourself but DO want to create an online income from internet marketing, then this article is for you.
It doesn’t really matter whether you just want to create a little extra money to supplement your 9 to 5 earnings, or whether you want to develop a full time money making empire; the principles of making money online from internet marketing are the same.
Step 1 - Get your product(s) to sell
Perhaps the cheapest way to get products to sell is to create your own ebooks or reports; this involves minimum upfront costs (just the purchase of a good pdf compiler, available from less than $20) and each report or ebook you sell represents 100% profit.
Alternatively, find a suitable product to promote as an affiliate (there is a huge range on Clickbank, or try Commission Junction). Marketing an affiliate program may well be the best choice if you’re completely new to internet marketing as you not only get a ready made product but will often get marketing materials as well. Using the affiliate marketing route, you will receive a commission for every sale you make (which could be up to around 75% of the sale).
Whichever route you choose, try to ensure that your products are for a market that is in demand and for which there are ready buyers.
Step 2 - Create your web site
Even if you have no experience designing and creating a web site, the days when you needed an in depth knowledge of HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) coding have long since passed. If you have this skill then great, but it’s now very easy to create your site without any knowledge of HTML at all. There are numerous (free) web site design programs you can use - Microsoft’s Frontpage, Nvu (available from download.com) or the excellent MyFreeWebsiteBuilder are the best known examples - which are true visual design programs (i.e. what you see is what your get, aka wysiwyg) which don’t require any knowledge of HTML at all.
There are however a few rules to follow when designing your web page(s).
> Keep it simple - visitors to your page(s) should be able to see at a glance what you have to offer
> If you are promoting more than one product, place them on separate pages so that you focus your visitor’s attention on one product at a time
> Use the minimum number of typefaces (fonts) that are easy to read
> Use colours in graphics that are compatible and easy on the eye, and avoid blocks of text that use colour. As a general guide, use red text for headlines, and black or blue for the body text
> Show your enthusiasm for the products your are promoting - if you don’t demonstrate enthusiasm then you’re unlikely to get a positive response from your prospects
Sending good quality traffic to your site and it not converting into sales has to be one of the most frustrating things as an internet marketer.
A number of reasons can cause this, of which poor site layout is one - visitors aren’t turned into customers and leave the site without making a purchase, so engaging the visitor is something you should always keep in mind
Step 3 - Get your page(s) hosted
You could spend hundreds of dollars getting your pages hosted, but why do that when you can get quality, professional hosting for only a few dollars per month?
Try to ensure that whoever you choose to host your site provides an easy to use panel for uploading and editing your pages, has sufficient web space for your site to grow, and provides built-in email (so that your personal email remains seperate from business emails).
If you really want to get up and running with minimal cost, why not create your web site using the free hosting provided by Wordpress? Although Wordpress is intended for simple blogging, there’s no reason why you can’t generate a blog that is marketing related!
Step 4 - Get visitors to your web pages
Once you have created and uploaded your page(s), your next step is to drive visitors to them. You could pay for ads using Google Adwords, MSN, or Yahoo, but why not start with generating your own free traffic? Join a traffic exchange (most are free for basic membership), create interesting articles related to your market and post them on article directory sites (free, and great for getting links back to your site).
It’s perfectly possible to generate a large and growing number of visitors just using these free methods.
Just remember when placing ads on traffic exchanges that you have a limited amount of text space to grab attention, so make sure the headline and subtext will entice viewers to click!
For best results with articles, compose them with a liberal sprinkling of keywords related to your topic throughout the text, and make sure you include a link back to your web page(s) in the resource box at the end of your articles.
Monitor the results of your traffic generation strategies, and apply your main energies to those that produce the best results first before spending too much time modifying those that are not producing results.
Once you have followed all 4 steps above, you should be well on your way to generating that extra income. Best of luck!
